Below we present the Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms and Conditions of Use”), a document that lists the main rules that must be observed by all who access the website of the Brazilian International School – BIS, headquartered at Avenida Iraí, 1330 Planalto Paulista – Indianópolis, São Paulo – SP, 04082-003, registered under CNPJ No.: 11.382.532/0001-57.

By accessing or using the functionalities of the BIS website https://colegiobis.com.br/ , the user declares that they have read carefully and fully the rules herein, and are fully aware, informed, and in agreement with the Terms and Conditions of Use.

PORTAL FEATURES

1.1. The Portal was created to provide information about BIS, its culture, products, addresses, customer service channels, and policies. Its construction takes into account maximum compatibility with the most common browsers on the market and mobile devices.

Except as otherwise provided in the Terms and Conditions of Use, all news, images, videos, and trademarks made available on the Portal in any language or form are the exclusive property of BIS or licensed to it. Use of the Portal does not create any presumption of transfer of this ownership or license.

3.1.1. The BIS brand is a registered property and cannot be reproduced without the express authorization of the company. Photographs and videos require prior authorization for editorial reproduction or any type of commercial use. Therefore, we ask that the user contact us through the contact channels available on the Portal.

3.1.2. The user is aware that unauthorized commercial use may result in civil and criminal infractions.

3.2. BIS strives to publish updated content, tools, and materials. However, BIS reserves the right to correct any errors published on this Portal and cannot guarantee that all materials are precisely up-to-date or complete. BIS is not responsible for damages caused by any content errors.

3.2.1. Thus, the user assumes all and any responsibility, whether civil and/or criminal, for the improper use of the information, texts, brand, images, in short, any and all intellectual property rights available on the Portal.

DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

5.1. BIS makes every effort to maintain the continuous and permanent availability of the Portal. However, temporary unavailability may occasionally occur due to necessary maintenance or unforeseen events, such as natural disasters, communication system failures, cyberattacks, or any third-party events beyond our monitoring and responsibility.

5.1.1. If this occurs, BIS will do its utmost to restore access to the Portal as soon as possible, within the technical limitations of its services and the third-party services on which it depends to remain online.

5.1.2. Any maintenance procedures that result in prolonged Portal unavailability will be informed through BIS’s official communication channels.

5.2. Under no circumstances shall BIS, its directors, or employees be liable for any direct or indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, losses, or expenses arising from connection with this Portal, use thereof, or inability to use by any party, or for any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, or system or line failure, even if BIS or its representatives have been advised of the possibility of such damages, losses, or expenses.

5.3. Without prejudice to other provisions of the Terms and Conditions of Use, BIS is not responsible for:

The improper use of information, tools, materials made available, and/or the equipment used by this Portal for any purposes, done by the user, being solely responsible for any harm to their own rights or those of third parties caused or not by such improper use;
Any problems, bugs, glitches, or improper functions occurring on Users’ devices and equipment;

Any direct or indirect damage caused by third-party events, such as but not limited to hacker attacks, system failures, server or Internet connection failures, including software actions that may somehow damage your physical or logical assets due to access, use, or navigation on the Portal, as well as the transfer of data, files, images, texts, audios, or videos contained on the Portal; and

5.4. The decision regarding the contracting of BIS products or services is the User’s responsibility, who should follow the guidelines for each use, exempting BIS from liability for misuse by the User.

SECURITY RECOMMENDATIONS

6.1. BIS shall not be responsible for unauthorized third-party access to the Access Account/login. Only authorized Users are responsible for keeping their login and password in a safe place, and not sharing this information with third parties.

6.1.1. BIS will not be responsible for unauthorized access resulting from hacker attacks or due to virus actions that may access your information and registration.

6.2. Whenever you access our environments, check that you are indeed in the environment provided by BIS; hackers may replicate a copy of our environments or areas of them in an attempt to steal your data.
