With 24 years of educational experience, the Brazilian International School was founded with the aim of providing bilingual education to students from Early Childhood Education through to High School, ensuring high-quality academic education and natural fluency in both Portuguese and English.
The program is designed for both Brazilian and international students, contributing to a more plural and diverse school environment. Students are introduced to learning in both languages, with complete curricula carefully crafted by a qualified team committed to global education.
Between 2019 and October 2023, the Brazilian International School was part of Bahema Educação, a Brazilian education group that brings together institutions dedicated to the formation of students with critical thinking skills and the ability to act in transforming the world with responsibility and awareness.
As of November 2023, BIS has incorporated significant institutional strengthening into its DNA, with its new educational partner being the International Schools Partnership (ISP) – a prominent player in the international market and one of the most respected education providers. ISP’s main objective is to invest in schools, bringing financial support, pedagogical innovations, exchange opportunities for educators and students, and educational and administrative exchanges.
Executive Director Alessandra Pellegrino continues with the same love, professionalism, and commitment she has demonstrated since the inception and founding of the school, working alongside ISP with the autonomy to manage this transition. Her role is to define the guidelines and pedagogical and administrative teams that will ensure the safe continuation of the BIS project.
ISP is committed to maintaining the distinct cultures of the schools, focusing on effective learning in the classroom. The goal is to help the Brazilian International School progressively improve and strengthen its reputation, aiming to solidify its position as the perfect choice in its community.
